When BearingPoint's CIO Eric Goldfarb and his IT managers are looking to hire new staff, they're not only looking for specific skill sets, such as good project managers and expertise in SAP and PeopleSoft technologies, they're also looking for IT professionals boasting two specific traits: curiosity and the ability to think.

"In any job you're doing you have to realize it changes, so you have to have curiosity about what needs to be done next, how to solve the client's need, how to get a better product. The ability to think is just as important because you need creativity to apply your brain power to determine what should be done," says Goldfarb, who directs BearingPoint's worldwide information technology team and oversee the company's capital technology investments, strategy, and services.
