Our client is a world-renowned software company seeking a Database Engineer for work on a program using 3rd party internet and application data to understand applications-user behavior as well as behavior on the internet. This tool will have high impact within the organization and support teams such analysis as customer/audience segmentation, competitive intelligence & insight of Google Web Apps, and standard reporting around deployment & usage.
Primary Responsibilities:
Quality checking monthly vendor data for accuracy, variances, & quality prior to loading into data warehouse
Designing, implementing and maintaining database, metadata driven warehouse ETL and OLAP application code and SSIS packages
Analyzing query performance issues and modify data structures or application code to remedy performance problems
Maintenance of a "hosted" SQL instance for this database using MSIT services
Production support and regular data warehouse operation including ETL run and Report refresh
Creation of ad-hoc & business questions
Communicating & coordinating with external and internal teams and third parties
