The candidate will work as part of operations department managing engineer requirements across the network. This includes but not limited to system design, configuration, deployment management, security, development in Ruby and Java, uptime monitoring and performance metrics. In addition the candidate will be responsible for being on the pager rotation. Job Requirements In depth knowledge of Linux with a preference towards Redhat/CentOS Experience managing clusters of web servers Experience with software deployment to clusters Standard Linux stack applications such as web services (Apache/ngix/etc) shell scripting NFS, mail servers name servers, etc. Basic knowledge of networking Programming background with service in service oriented architectures Web application development in Ruby on Rails Application development in Java Git version control MySQL administration including basic knowledge of replication query optimization and user management Working knowledge of Hudson/Jinkins
Nice to have: Working knowledge of RPM packages PXE Deployment/Redhat Kickstart Capistrano deployment Github experience OSX experience
