RESPONSIBILITIES Work with management, corporate HR business users, and IT to provide production support, enhancements and upgrades to existing PeopleSoft HR systems, and to assist in any new PeopleSoft module implementations.
Systems and Procedures:
* Support all PeopleSoft HR modules:Core HR, Base Benefits,Payroll Interface, eBenefits, eProfile-Manager Desktop and ePerformance * Support interfaces and integrations with allied products such as Taleo (for recruiting) and Orgplus (for OrgCharts) * Responsible for all facets of the analysis, planning, design and development effort for implementation, upgrade and production support related to PeopleSoft HR applications * Use knowledge of PeopleSoft HR to maximize features and functionality * Develop detailed functional and technical specifications using knowledge of PeopleSoft data model * Make recommendations to improve, streamline and automate specific PeopleSoft HR areas * Configure/develop PeopleSoft HR objects * Document the design and business process development so that it may be interpreted, maintained and enhanced in the future * Work with end users to help resolve production support issues and current design issues * Responsible for issue and problem monitoring. This includes documenting issues and problems, coordinating the resolution process, and documenting the resolution. * Prepare test plans and assist in the system test and quality assurance process for vendor patches, system upgrades, application enhancements and new implementations * Provide training to users in preparation for User Acceptance Testing * Manage user expectations by providing feedback on alternatives and current status * Develop reports/queries to support HR reporting needs * Coordinate module patches, bundles and upgrades, including testing, documentation and implementation * Provide on call support for administration of PeopleSoft Enterprise applications * Provide feedback and suggestions to management for process improvement and critical metrics * Attend appropriate job skills training seminars and classes
Project planning and management:
* Assist/create project charters and project plans * Assist/perform cost/benefit analysis of projects * Coordinate and complete project tasks according to project plans * Guide project team members * Evaluate success of enhancement, upgrade, or implementation and determine follow up if necessary
Others: * Maintain good working relationships with project team members, internal customers (e.g. Corporate HR and Finance), and external service vendors * Provide end-user systems training as needed * Participate in internal customer meetings to better understand requirements and challenges * Perform other duties as requested by project managers and/or managers
REQUIREMENTS This position requires a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 5+ years of Functional/Technical experience in PeopleSoft HR version 8.9, or higher including PeopleSoft core HR, Base Benefits, Payroll Interface, eBenefits and eProfile-Manager Desktop. * Experience in troubleshooting issues within Payroll Interface * Experience in PeopleSoft ePerformance (especially using Lominger content is a plus) * Solid understanding of HR processes is required including international requirements * Able to define scope for HR Workforce Administrative business processes and data * Able to define requirements for core HR business processes * Able to develop project estimates for HR Workforce Administrative projects * An understanding of the technical components of the PeopleSoft architecture * Hands-on SQL experience using technologies such as Oracle DB and MS-SQL * Must have implementation and development skills plus experience with the application implementation life cycle, including: requirement analysis, fit/gap analysis, application configuration, functional/technical specifications, integration, data conversion, testing, training, cutover activities, product enhancement and support * Multi-tasking and work prioritization is a must for this candidate * Working experience in project management, business analysis, and solution deployment * Requires excellent communication and presentation skills and candidates must have the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, upper management, etc. in both formal and informal situations * A high degree of creative ability, analytical and technical skills and independent judgment * Ability to handle high levels of responsibility, self-directed, with strong organizational and project management skills * Able to work well in a matrix / cross functional environment * Ability to work under stress with "time-critical" deadlines and expectations.
