Intern Category: Engineering Type: Internship Description: Entropic is seeking a software/hardware intern to support the maintenance, testing and distribution of DAF, a Microsoft C/C++ suite of drivers and applications use for hardware and algorithm design validation of our new MoCA 2.0 technology. Modify and maintain a suite of python scripts that are used to extract data from various sources and create VB & C code and data structures. Specific duties include: 1 – Support DAF for the design validation of Galaxy & Malaga projects. • Verify new connection types and connectivity to all DVT platforms. • Verify all applicable algorithms and maintain a list of applicable & tested algorithms. • Support the release and distribution coordinating with the various design groups. • Coordinate directly with design groups to resolve/debug software issues and defects. #2 – Extend DAF_Console, a Windows C++ console application, to provide working examples of DAF API & Algorithm function calls. Coordinate with other DAF_Console developers merging and testing software changes. #3 – Modify Python scripts to support new register to parameter translators and repository code generators. Requirements: Education: Position requires undergraduate work in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, recent college graduate preferred. Some combination of software & hardware disciplines a strong plus. Experience: Research or design project experience in an engineering environment that involves direct application C/C++ and/or Python. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of C/C++ programming language, Python scripting language, Windows Visual Studio C/C++, National Instrument CVI and Linux gcc.
