Provides complex hardware and software troubleshooting and diagnosis on specialized instrumentation and systems. The incumbent provides phone and on-site assistance to district engineers; participates in large-scale installations of integrated systems in.

Provides customer satisfaction as the primary customer contact for complex APPLICATIONS related troubleshooting, diagnosis and general support on specialized instrumentation and systems. Conducts on site installation training and refresher training and occasionally conducts web based training. Provides input for changes in product development, maintenance and system standards; adheres to technical standards, recommends process improvements. Provides guidance to sales staff, participates in the pre-sale customer qualification process including product demonstration, and contributes to financial growth objectives for both Life Science sales and service teams. Must have good presentation skills as customer training and presenting at seminars and user group meetings is a requirement . Requires extended travel-up to 75%-on short notice. Must have valid driver's license and meet Beckman Coulter safe driver criteria. Position to be based in Philly, DC, Baltimore area.

Qualifications/Competencies:

2 to 4 years scientific laboratory experience with analytical equipment and degree in Biology or related life science discipline required. Experience with automated liquid handling preferred.
