Senior Financial Analyst II - Treasury Accounting
Title: Senior Financial Analyst II - Treasury Accounting Location: United States-California-Palo Alto Job Number:_1061685 As a member of HP''s Treasury Accounting team, the treasury accountant lead will be responsible for providing strategy consultation, accounting, reporting, financial analysis and compliance services related to HP''s derivatives portfolio and other treasury activities.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to : · Lead a team of financial analysts responsible for HP's treasury accounting activities · Provide strategy and technical assistance to Treasury with new and existing derivative programs and associated reporting. · Provide accounting, technical support and collaborative guidance for Global Treasury initiatives to ensure compliance with US GAAP and HP policies. · Effectively work with cross cultural teams and departments including Tax, SOX and other Enterprise Financial Reporting teams as well as external auditors. · Provide accounting review and analysis. · Assist in the preparation of SEC disclosures.
Education and Experience Required:
· College degree with a focus in accounting and an advanced certification in accounting (i.e. CPA certification); Master of Business Administration (MBA) a plus. · Typically 8 years of experience as an accounting financial expert with significant treasury and derivative accounting experience. · Experience in Banking a plus.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
· Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge of accounting for derivative instruments. · Excellent analytical skills. · Excellent business system skills. · Superior verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on interacting with individuals at the executive level. · Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. · Superior teamwork and collaboration skills · Strong business acumen.
