As a member of the Engineering and Modeling Team, candidates will utilize their diverse engineering background in the research and development of conventional and unconventional oilfield products and processes. Candidate duties vary widely across a mix of both conventional engineering practice as well as complex specialties as they devise engineering solutions to challenges encountered in subterranean reservoirs and wellbores.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide expertise in fluid-rock interactions and support in chemo-poro-thermo-mechanical analysis in the area of Geomechanics. Provide expertise in geomechanics applications in poromechanics, coupled linear and non linear chemo-poro-thermo-mechanical analysis. You will be a part of multidisciplinary team in support of geomechanics related products and processes.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: -¢ Design advanced testing methodology for current fracturing fluid, diversion fluid, and others -¢ Understand drill fluid performance under in-situ conditions -¢ Manage fluid-rock interaction projects from concept to production -¢ Develop innovative, new models which incorporate field/lab measurements with geomechanical modeling -¢ Serve as a customer liaison, providing technical and operational support -¢ Serve as a mentor to engineers, designers and technicians -¢ Provide consultation and technology transfers to internal and external peers
Basic Qualifications: -¢ Completion of a doctorate degree in Geo-Science, Geochemical, Engineering, or Mathematics -¢ Experimental background in core analysis -¢ Lab and field experience in geochemical, petro-logical, and mineralogical studies of fluid-rock interaction -¢ Skilled in scientific programming and numerical analysis -¢ Excellent oral and written communication skills -¢ Minimum of 0 to 3 years of experience
Desired/Preferred Qualifications: -¢ Knowledge of geochemical fluid-rock interactions -¢ Knowledge of mineral dissolution/precipitation kinetics -¢ Knowledge of rock models and rock properties -¢ Familiarity of Fundamentals of Elasticity -¢ Experience in-depth modeling and interpretation
