Description
Summary: Sales position responsible for the development of Services in the ScanSource Inc. business; includes prospecting for accounts and uncovering areas where ScanSource Services will complement the business model of resellers; selling the “value add” model to customers while building trust and confidence with partners; responsiveness to both internal and external customers is critical to success. Organization skills are required in order to maximize effectiveness of position. Sales Quota attainment and growth objectives are critical in achieving success in the position. Essential Job Duties: Cycle prospective business partners and/or new recruits to solicit services business and communicate the service offers available through their distributor Manages existing accounts and continues to build relationships at various levels within the reseller business Identify business partner candidates that would benefit from service support from SSG and their distribution partner Migrates customers to the service offers available through their distribution sales rep Meets/exceeds sales quota on a monthly and quarterly basis Collaborates with Offer Development rep in developing new service type offers that support ScanSource business units Assists in creating and developing processes with Product Managers along with the deliverables needed to support a successful launch of new/existing offers Interfaces with internal/external customers & assist in sales/support functions Delivers training and tools used to support offers for business partners Maintains tracking mechanism to validate success rate and activity levels Supports business development and education in a manner that helps grow the business Proactive support for service quotes and SOW for traditional SSG business Serves all customers in a professional and efficient manner Works with manufacturer to complement services strategy at the reseller level Presentation of sales material, scope of work, information uncovered during data gathering with business partners Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to Team Leader, Sales Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or four years of relevant experience. Excellent presentation and computer skills Sales experience with Avaya products and/or similar technology Preferred: Demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills Familiarity with pricing matrix within sales/service business model Experience in delivery and providing sales/technical team support Physical Requirements: Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time. Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this position.
