Packaging Lead
Job Descriptions:
This position is responsible for coordinating work flow under the direction of DSF Packaging Supervisor that will enable the packaging department to package DSF Finished Products per company guidelines while following good food safety and HACCP standards. Must be able to accomplish all levels of Pack Operator duties as well as Lead duties.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Level I Pack Operator
* Manual Pallet Jack Operation
* Operates Automated Case Erecter
* Operates Mechanical Box Sealer
* Hand Form Boxes
* Palletize
* Able to read and comprehend recipe instructions for packing
* Hand Packing
* Level II Pack Operator
* Metal Detector Verification and Documentation
* CCP Verification and HACCP Documentation
* Operates Pallet Shrink Wrap Machine
* Operates Forklift and/or Electric Pallet Jack
* Operates Label Maker
* Operates Overwrap Equipment
* Operates Ink Jet Equipment
* All Duties in Level I
* Lead
* Write Shift Reports on Routine Basis
* Able to Effectively Train Any Departmental Personnel in Any Level 1 & Level 2 Tasks
* Ability to Conduct Basis Departmental Safety, GMP and General Communications Meetings
* Responsible for Finished Goods Reconciliation at End of Shift - Pallets, Cases, Bags, etc
* Planning and Organization
* Problem Solving/Decision Making Capabilities.

* Good Manufacturing Practices Awareness
* Safety Awareness
* Adherence to Company''s Standards of Conduct
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
* This Position Reports to the Packing Supervisor.
Required Experience:
* Handle fast paced environment
* Organizational skills
* Good communication skills in speaking, reading and writing
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
* DFS Forklift Certification for Level II and Lead
