Above all, we love data and excel at interpreting it for our partners. Collecting valuable information from every campaign and mining it for insights. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the underlying goal of understanding a search ad better. Responsibilities include finding insights about the inventory of search ads, implementing these insights (in the form of features, models, classifiers, etc.), communicating these results to partner teams, working with partner teams to drive requirements for systems on which we rely. The key partners this role engages with are the rest of the RnR organization, DE IndexGen, and DE IndexServe teams. To demonstrate success in this role you must provide insight into the inventory of search ads and take action upon those insights. A successful candidate must combine skills of a data analyst, an applied researcher and a software engineer. They must be able to analyze data from various sources, gain an understanding of the underlying software architecture & business model, build models based off of disparate data, know how to build pipelines to process data, and analyze online experiments. A successful candidate must know a mix of statistics, machine learning, quick data processing tools and have the right intuition for which tools to use (and when). A great candidate must be an excellent communicator and work well with partner teams. A successful candidate must have 5+ years experience in data analysis, machine learning, statistics as well as practical experience in deploying models and building data pipelines. A candidate should have at least a BS in Computer Science (or a related, quantitative field); an MS/PhD is certainly a plus. Experience in an online advertising business or experience with "big data" are helpful, but not required.
