If you have a strong sales and technical background in building relationships and a true passion for selling and acquiring new accounts, site development and line of business conversion to provide best solutions for our customers, we would like to hear from you. This role is viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the customer leveraging required in-depth knowledge of Dell''s Enterprise technology solutions, products and services to help customers formulate a strategy and direction. The Job Description: - Must possess granular understanding of Dell''s entire Enterprise portfolio, and the ability to effectively position Dell''s products and services against the competition. - Candidate will be a quota-carrying salesperson responsible for identifying, positioning, quoting and closing complex enterprise solutions within the Large Enterprise and/or Public area - Strong track record of success in previous sales roles; Responsible for selling the full catalogue of products and services via telephone to Dell Clients - Focus on managing relationships with retention accounts while developing new relationships with acquisition customers. - Provide technical and administrative information and price quotes. - Provide updated marketing/sales literature to prospective clients, keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company and prepare activity and forecast reports as requested. - Possess strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills - Must demonstrate strategic probing/questioning skills, and ability to identify, evaluate and recommend enterprise solutions that align with customer''s true business needs - Must display ability to support, train, motivate and develop a team of individual sales representatives within the area of Dell Enterprise products and services - Must display proficiency with CRM tool, account planning and strong ability to forecast and manage enterprise-related sales opportunity pipeline - Must display ability to work effectively with field-based sales resources/team-members - Must demonstrate ability to work closely with and negotiate as needed Overview of Daily Tasks: - Taking around 5-10 inbound phone calls - Making a minimum 10 outbound calls to acquire and follow up - Email Management and correspondence Principal Accountabilities - Inside technical sales role, which primarily takes requests via email or phone and sells direct to the consumer. - Responds to customer inquiries. - May direct customers to website or other company resources for information. - Works effectively in a team environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Learning a broad range of Dell technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs. - Able to explain technical, industry, and market facts to position Dell as a competitive solution. Cooperates and collaborates with colleagues, cross-functionally, to support the sales process. - Understands the administrative and operational requirements of the job. - Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions. - Follows up with occasional outbound calls. - Continued education and training required Guidance - Normally receives no instruction on routine work and receives general instructions for new sales activities. - Follows protocols. - Receives periodic supervision on new assignments. - Work guided by assignment objectives. - Typically establishes own priorities within guidelines. - Regularly adjusts to multiple demands and shifting priorities. - May provide procedural guidance to others. - Independently gathers resources and information needed to complete sales activities.
