Public Relations Manager
Title: Public Relations Manager Location: CA-Santa ClaraLocation: Santa Clara, CA About the Role: Manages the development, implementation, and coordination of public relations strategies, with the goal of establishing and maintaining a favorable image of the company with media, customers, employees and the public. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing product launches and announcements, executive thought leadership and general thought leadership campaigns. Assists with the development and execution of PR plans, writes and edits press releases, pitches, contributed articles, blogs and other related documents. Handles media inquiries, creates media opportunities and works with public relations agencies to get favorable stories in the press. Key Responsibilities: * Support product launches through press releases, media events, building product messaging, social media and other activities * Assist in the development of creative and unique PR and thought leadership plans and campaigns * Work collaboratively with marketing and product teams to align PR strategy with business objectives and to support overall marketing plans * Develop and manage relationships with key technology and trade reporters/bloggers in conjunction with working closely with PR agency on media outreach Required Experience/Skills & Education: * Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in public relations from either an agency or client setting * Proven ability to work within a team environment, and across offices, functions and practice areas * Strong relationship building, and management skills, including a proven ability to build relationships at all levels across an organization * Strong written and verbal communications skills * Preferred:Background in technology industry McAfee, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), is the world''s largest dedicated security technology company.
