Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics or other field of study related to data analysis
Advanced analytical skills and experience analyzing data
Five years experience in data modeling, with demonstrated capabilities in policy development, system and process design
Possess a comprehensive grasp of California MMIS data and applied modeling and reporting
The Family PACT Advanced Systems Analyst/Data Modeler is a full-time dedicated position to provide additional support to the Office of Family Planning (OFP) in the use and maintenance of its decision support system. Most of this work will be done onsite at OFP.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Takeover Phase:
Participates in CA-MMIS knowledge transfer in preparation for Assumption of Operations
Assists in operational readiness testing as required
All Other Phases:
Ensures that OFP DBMS user database tables are updated and maintained
Makes modifications in the Report templates and extraction routines based upon the identification of any data elements needed from the primary system files or the identification of any data elements determined not to be needed
Develops periodic and ad hoc reports
Identifies Family Planning related issues needing analysis and develop more comprehensive programs to extract the necessary data, using SAS, Crystal Info, or other similar data extract, analysis and reporting COTS tools
Consults with OFP staff on system process and design
Provides onsite and offsite training and proficiency enabling support for new and existing Contractor, OFP, and OFP designated staff in the use of SAS, Crystal Info, and/or other COTS tool products utilized for the OFP decision support system
Keeps current with continuously evolving healthcare practices, equipment and technology
