(I) Junior Electronics Technician (Apprenticeship)Title: (I) Junior Electronics Technician (Apprenticeship) Location: USA-South Carolina-Charleston Other Locations: L-3 Communications is seeking a full-time, experienced Junior Electronics Technician, for a contingency position to expand our current work force. This position is located on client site in Charleston, SC.
The candidate will perform a variety of electronics technician functions, to include disassembling AN/URC-131(V) High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG) equipment racks, removing and replacing cabling in the racks, replacing worn hardware, reassembling racks and building interface cables;installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics/communications equipment in a shipboard environment. These activities will include test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly, maintenance of electronic systems and equipment. May also include installation, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of electronics equipment, to include radio transmitters, receivers, antenna controllers and signal distribution/multiplexing equipment.
High School Diploma or GED ANDTwo (2) years of Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education including a background in algebra, plane geometry, drafting , and physics. Formal electronics equivalent training to include installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, and making/repairing connectors from: - Technical school; - OR military class "A" or "C" school training in electronics or communications; - OR completion of four (4) years electronics apprenticeship program.
AN/URC-131(V) High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG) system experience desired.Candidates with active secret security clearances highly desired.
