(II) Electronics TechnicianTitle: (II) Electronics Technician Location: USA-South Carolina-North Charleston Other Locations: USA-South Carolina-Charleston L-3 Communications is seeking full-time, experienced Senior Electronics Technicians, for contingency positions to expand our current work force. These positions are located at multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Description: The candidate will perform a variety of electronics technician functions, to include installing, maintaining, trouble shooting, repairing, and life cycle support for Electronic Security Systems (ESS). These activities will include installation, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of electronics equipment, to include Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and equipment, Access Control Systems (ACS), Biometric and video surveillance equipment. Experience in maintenance and life-cycle support services including corrective and preventative maintenance, configuration management, inventory management, on-site support (minor upgrades and enhancements), training, system drawings, and fiscal accountability.
Candidate must be able to work from diagrams, drawings, technical manuals, Military/DOD and commercial specifications and to analyze, and locate problems in electronics systems and equipment. Special skill / experience required: ~ High School Diploma or GED Technical school ~ Electronics Training from Tech School OR military class "A" or "B" school training in electronics or communications; ~2 years or more experience
Desired Qualification: Working knowledge and familiarization with: ~ Lenel (1000R and 2000R), AND at least 2 years ESS experience ~ Pelco (PSCT 2) AND at least 1 year demonstrated installation experience and 2 years ESS experience ~ AMAG equipment experience and certifications with at least 1 year demonstrated installation experience and 2 years ESS experience a plus ~ Ultrak with Chameleon CCTV experience required ~ Department of Defense Directive 8570 certification requirements for assigned duties
Desired Skills: ~ Information Assurance experience with DIACAP process ~ CIMS ~ SCIF procedures ~ ArcView and ArcInfo
