Title: (IV) Principal Electronics Technician Location: USA-South Carolina-Charleston Other Locations:Responsible for the day-to-day operation of a technical program. Will work with Project Manager and Junior Technicians to install, overhaul and test the AN/URC-131(V) High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG) System. Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics principals and theories, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Plans work, decides on material needs, cable size. Applies knowledge of qualified electrical connectorization. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, written instructions and technical manuals.
High School Diploma or GED AND Formal electronics equivalent training with ten (10) years hands-on experience, to include installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, and making/repairing connectors from: - Technical school - OR military class "A" or "C" school training in Naval electronics or communications - OR completion of four (4) year electronics apprenticeship program. Extensive AN/URC-131(V) High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG) system experience required. Candidates with active secret security clearances highly desired.
