Contract Term
This is a 6-month initial contract opportunity.
Overview
Our client is seeking a .NET Developer. The successful candidate will analyze and develop system solutions for identified business needs for our client's Oil Sands development.
Developers have an opportunity to work closely with staff in many business areas as well as within the Information Services (IS) group to develop and implement appropriate and effective software applications to meet business unit needs.
There will be some travel to Fort McMurray required.
Role and Responsibilities
Participating in the analysis of systems solutions to meet business needs and recommending solutions for approval
Leading the design and development of in-house applications, including modules for coding, GUI design, data module and database design
Defining business requirements and creating functional specifications, data models and file structures
Conducting quality assurance testing of developed software
Participating in the deployment of applications in a Client Server environment
Provide support and sustainment to the developed in-house applications, including issues investigation, troubleshooting and fixing
Representing the IS department in interactions with the business units
Participating in the development and execution of user training and user acceptance test plans
Qualifications

Strong .NET experience
Strong Oracle background
XML skills
