JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction of senior level programmers and management team, the Programmer Analyst assumes primary responsibility for program analysis, coding, testing and implementing application systems. Analytical duties include meeting with business unit representatives to identify requirements and the documentation of project scope and technical specifications. Programming duties include the design of the user interface, database files and structures, as well as report design. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining application test plans and documentation. The position will also be responsible for the technical support and maintenance of existing and new applications.
The programmer analyst will contribute to the development of plans, processes and procedures to ensure a high performance software development team.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Designs, codes, compiles,tests, debugs, modifies and documents new or existing application programs within accepted standards, procedures and guidelines with limited guidance from senior programmers and/or Business Solutions Manager
Meets with users to gather requirements and writes appropriate system specifications under supervision/guidance.
Compose test cases and test plans from specifications and code that are consistent with testing methodology.
Knowledgeable of relational database concepts and can apply these skills using Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database systems. Define data elements, designs structure for database, documents data elements, and writes queries for use by other colleagues
Write and maintain detailed, thorough technical documentation with peer review.
Integrate bank systems with various third party applications, environments or vendors.

Identify, research and resolve program, machine, data or system software problems to maintain production systems including critical applications

Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience: 3 years programming experience.
Preferred Experience: More than 3 years programming with exposure to financial services systems and support
