Description PGP Corporation is looking for an engineer to join the PGP gateway messaging team to develop software on PGP Universal. PGP Universal is a soft security appliance which includes an email proxy, secure web mail, and policy management features. This position will play a significant role in bringing next generation gateway mail and secure web mail implementation. This candidate should be adept developing high-level, high-impact, scriptable Unix applications by synthesizing together both new and existing code. This position is located in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters. Requirements: • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field (waived for exceptional candidates) • 3+ years C/C++ programming in a Unix environment, preferably Mac OS X, FreeBSD, or Linux. • 2+ years in linux development, debugging (gcc, gdb). • Understanding of networking, protocols, and threads. • Familiarity with messaging protocols such as IMAP, POP, and SMTP. • Understanding of message formats including MIME. • Experience with CVS/Subversion, Bugzilla, and application building using autoconf/configure/make. • Strong familiarity with large-scale software product development processes including multi-platform development. • Ability to broadly understand product and company goals helping to synthesize product vision. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desirable: • Experience with PGP and other security products. • Understanding of OpenPGP, OpenSSL, OpenSSH and other IETF security protocols. • Familiarity with MAPI, Exchange Server, and Lotus Notes. • Familiarity with security APIs such as PKCS#11, PC/SC, PGP SDK, BSAFE, or CDSA. • SOAP/XML/XSLT Experience. • LDAP and Directory Server Experience. • Experience using SQL and a relational database such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.
