LRS maintains partnerships with several industry leaders such as Microsoft (Gold Certified Partner), Cisco (Premier certified Partner), and IBM (Premier Partner). LRS is successfully partnering with a company in Long Island, NY on an exciting endeavor. This endeavor is providing the opportunity for employment for an Oracle DBA. This is a great opportunity to work with two great companies at the same time on a 3 to 6 month contract position. This DBA will be a part of the operations group and will be performing deployments against written scripts. They resource will have troubleshooting and problem diagnosis capabilities to be successful . The responsibilities of this DBA are as follows. Perform installation of Oracle 10g / 11g from scripts Author scripts for installation of Oracle 9 / 10 / 11 updates and patches Perform patching and updating of Oracle 10g / 11g from scripts Monitor and maintain Oracle databases Monitor and maintain EMC Network backup jobs

Experience as a DBA working with database security, administration, maintenance and performance of enterprise Business Applications (e.g. SAP). . Experience performing installation of Oracle 10g/11g from scripts . Experience authoring scripts for installation of Oracle 9/10/11 updates and patches. . Experience performing patching and updating of Oracle 10g /11g from scripts . Experience monitoring and maintaining Oracle databases . Experience monitoring and maintaining EMC Network backup jobs . Experience with enterprise ticketing solutions (e.g. BMC Remedy). Optional Skills: .Prior pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience desirable. .Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification is a plus. .Oracle RAC Expert, Performance Tuning or Implementation Specialist certification is a plus. .ITIL certification is a plus. Knowledge of ITIL Type: This position is not eligible for benefits.
