LRS Consulting Services has over 25 years of consulting experience providing a variety of technology consulting to our customers alone and in partnership with others. LRS is successfully partnering with a global hardware manufacturer on many exciting endeavors. This newest position is an opportunity to work with two great technology companies at the same time. As an Enterprise Desktop Deployment Consultant, you will be working with the hardware manufacturer's Services Team and their large enterprise customers providing Windows 7 deployment consulting. Consultants may be expected to travel as much as 100% of the work week but should be home on the weekends. Consultants are expected to live within a reasonable distance to a major airport in the northeastern United States. When not traveling, you may be working from home. Dress is business casual most of the time, with occasional business dress attire required.

Requirements: .At least 5 years of Windows XP or Vista administration experience in an environment with a minimum of 1000 desktops .Working knowledge of Windows 7 .At least 1 year of application packaging using WISE or InstallShield .At least 1 year of consulting experience (not contracting experience) to including performing proof of concept type engagements around Microsoft products. .At least 3 years of experience with IT desktop management systems including any of the following: Microsoft SMS and/or SCC Marimba, CA Unicenter, IBM Tivoli, HP OpenView or Altiris. .At least 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: desktop service support and/or administration, imaging/provisioning solutions, desktop configuration and patch management, complex change and/or release management cycles, security or vulnerability assessments, financial justification/management for IT services. .Current experience deploying Windows OS with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT 2010) .Must have created Vista or Windows 7 images for deployment to a production corporate user environment. .Must successfully demonstrate a strong working knowledge of: Asset Management Suites and System Management Suites i.e. SMS, Altiris. Standard client platform administration, configuration, rights management and file access, and TCP/IP networks including DHCP, DNS, and WINS. .Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems .Internet technologies, including IIS, HTML, XML, HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP .Network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, subnets, V-LANs, Ethernet, and Token Ring .Basic imaging concepts & best practices .Basic application packaging and distribution methods .Tools, such as Windows Scripting Host, KIXTART, PERL, WISE Packaging Studio Install Shield .Windows automation scripting such as WMI, ADSI, VBScript, Batch Files .Ability to wear business attire when needed .Ability to work remotely from home when required .Some desktop deployment experience .Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age and have a valid driver's license. .Applicants must be able to obtain a passport. .Applicants must have a credit card or be able to cover their travel expenses for a week or two until they are reimbursed by LRS. .Since LRS consultants are expected to travel for assignments, applicants must have a valid driver's license and appropriate transportation for assignments that are within commuting distance. .Applicants must not be covered by any employment agreements that would restrict LRS' ability to place them on a consulting assignment. .Applicants must not have been convicted of a felony. LRS will conduct a criminal background check. Applicants must have appropriate authorization to work in the USA when they apply. .Applicants with H1-B, student, or other "temporary" work visas will not be considered. .You must be willing and capable of traveling to customer locations to complete your assignments. Travel will occur throughout the USA. .All reasonable and customary travel expenses (mileage, airfare, car rental, lodging, meals) incurred by our consultants are reimbursed by LRS as outlined in our policies.
