Title: Acquisitions Program Manager needed in Washington, DC area - must be willing to travel Location: DC: DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA-WASHINGTON Primary Responsibilities
* Develops and reviews acquisition strategies, documentation, statements of objectives, source selection plans, and business cases that support acquisition decisions; * Serve as the project manager in executing ammunition procurements * Provides acquisition support for services and supplies, including major system acquisitions, and executes the full life-cycle acquisition requirement; * Responsible for utilizing automated systems for tracking and monitoring acquisition status, funding, implementation, and closeout; * Performs analysis, development, and review of program administrative operating procedures. * Expected to utilize Acquisition Solutions' knowledge base to stay current on all facets of acquisition. * Knowledge and mastery of federal acquisition laws and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and agency specific regulations; * Knowledge of project management principles, automated tools, and program status tracking techniques; * Knowledge of DOD 5000 Standards; * DAWIA I-III certified in Contracting preferred Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* Six or more years of consulting experience with business analysis, design, and redesign
* Experience working with client mission, vision, and key performance requirements
* Experience working with business process redesign and process improvement concepts, issues, methods, and techniques
Other Qualifications
* Two to five years of additional relevant experience in one or more business or industry specialty areas
* Strong workflow analysis and business process integration skills
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity
* Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and the company
* Ability to adjust personal style to different situations
* Willingness to travel * Experience in preparation and of contractual documents, development of complex project schedules and similar activities. * Must be proficient in spreadsheet packages and have a basic knowledge of project management software tools briefing and deliverable preparation, scheduling, meeting coordination MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic mail. * Must have knowledge of, or experience in cost accounting and project management tools. * When participating in electronic meetings or surveys, the candidate must be able to support the facilitator and/or data modeler in preparing and conducting meetings and follow-up activities. * 6 or more years of experience in acquisition * Level 2, 3 acquisition qualification is a plus
