Description

Requirements:
Highly experienced Air Force officer. SECRET clearance; background in irregular warfare activities, in particular Building Partnership Capacity (BPC), advising foreign partners, or Aviation Foreign Internal Defense (FID); experience or knowledge in international training; background in Air Education and Training Command; experience/background in Air Force doctrine; background in Counter Insurgency (COIN) doctrine and missions
Desired: experience in establishing new programs or units; rated officer; master's degree in international relations or national security.

Job Duties:
Works as an Irregular Warfare (IW) and Building Partnership Capacity (BPC) Training Analyst with the Expeditionary Training Team, HQ AETC staff. As an IW and BP subject matter expert (SME), draws on his background and experiences in global operations to perform a broad range of Irregular Warfare activities focusing on building a capability in the Air Force to train General Purpose Forces for IW and BPC missions. Coordinates and develops inputs to Air Force and joint BP doctrine. Develops project plans and schedules to support Air Advisor training. Works with the support team to develop courseware modules, in particular regional studies, for the Air Advisor Academy and IW and BP curriculum for insertion into courses across the Air Force. As an IW and BP/BPC Subject Matter Expert, advises the Air Advisor Core Skills Branch Chief on actions required to establish the new Air Force Air Advisor Academy. Member of a working group to help ensure all milestones and actions are met on schedule to stand up the Air Advisor Academy. Reviews all curriculum for the existing Air Advisor course and suggests changes based on evolving IW and BP doctrine. Briefs senior AETC and Air Force senior leaders on IW and BP/BPC issues and provides recommendations.
