Aircraft Technician
Assemble and/or install partial or complete mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic and electrical systems and components in airframe. Route and/or terminate wires and assemble connectors. Fabricate, install and swage tubing and/or hoses. Assemble and install quadrants, bell-cranks, control rods and check clearances of moving parts. Perform assembly operations such as pressing and staking of bearings and bushings. Check clearances, rigging and balancing of assemblies. Build up and install major assemblies such as transmission packages and engines. Service fluid systems and lubricate components. Install auto flight, communication, navigation, and interphone equipment. Make functional checks of all installed systems. Utilize equipment and ground support equipment. Make functional checks of all installed systems. Utilize all test equipment and group support equipment. Diagnose malfunctions. Make adjustments and repairs.
Competencies Mechanical and technical aptitude.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Do you have at least 2 years experience as an aircraft technician or aircraft mechanic?
Typical Education/Experience Typically acquired through formal technical training school or two years of aircraft mechanical work. Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) is preferred.
