Ambulatory Technology Manager
As a critical, strategic position the Ambulatory Technology Manager manages resources for system-wide ambulatory applications implementation, project planning, and applications support for the DCH Health System's outpatient division and physician practice customers.
In this position, the Ambulatory Technology Manager will evaluate, recommend, configure and assign resources to meet ambulatory technology users’ needs. He/she will function as a technology liaison to outside physician practices and develop policies and procedures related to the use, management, and support of ambulatory applications. Will also manage multiple resources and projects to effectively implement standard systems and services following I/S policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as manager of all resources for major and minor application projects, project management, and applications deployment for ambulatory technologies. These resources will include personnel in the outpatient division and in IS who are involved in Ambulatory Technology implementation and support.
Participates in ambulatory technology budget and resource planning and strategic planning.
Participates in on-call coverage as needed.
Develops processes to oversee and maintain the quality of services delivered by the ambulatory technology team.
Requirements:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of five years of healthcare management managing multiple simultaneous complex projects. Ambulatory technology experience strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make formal presentations required.
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and management abilities to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel.
Possesses expert personal computer skills with experience in applications implementation and project planning with a high level of knowledge of I/S and ambulatory healthcare systems and processes.
