Title: Analytic Engineer - SAS Solutions OnDemand Location: NC-Cary
As a member of the SAS Advanced Analytics Lab (AAL), you will support customer analytic business needs through data discovery, analysis, reporting and presentation.
You will participate in end-to-end customer analytic requirements, which will include identifying data analysis needs, processing and exploring client data, translating business requirements into analytic methods, building analytic models, developing analysis reports and presenting reports to customers. Your duties will also include developing data quality procedures, assisting in quality assurance efforts for all AAL projects and automating analytic processes.
Essential * Master's degree in statistics, applied mathematics or a related quantitative field * 4 years experience in data analysis or analytical consulting * Experience with the SAS System (Enterprise Miner and Forecast Studio at a minimum) Additional * Ability to solve customers' complex business problems using innovative analytical processes and techniques * Ability to select analytic methods and techniques appropriate to the business problem * Ability to perform in both team and individual environments * Proven record of handling increasing responsibilities * Familiarity with data mining techniques * Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with people from a variety of technical backgrounds Preferences * Ph.D. degree in statistics, applied mathematics or a related quantitative field * Experience with analytic and business approaches related to Social Media Analysis * Experience with SAS Text Mining and Teragram Software * Experience with SAS Customer Intelligence technology, including SAS Web Analytics and SAS Customer Experience Analytics * Management experience or experience as technical lead Additional Information
