AOC WS Systems Integration Training Engineer SME to join our team in Newport News, VA.
This SME engineer will support the production of the AOC-WS 10.2 net-centric infrastructure by working as a liaison between trainers and engineers, help with the design, develop, and testing the AOC WS training system. The Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) is the Joint Forces Air Component Commander's (JFACC) primary Command and Control (C2) node to develop the air and space operations strategies and plans to meet the Combat Commander's objectives. It is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) which includes subordinate ground and air C2 units trained and equipped to plan, coordinate, control, execute and monitor air, space and cyberspace operations across the full range of military operations. The AOC controls a wide range of air power to achieve Air Force objectives of Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power.
Modern warfighting demands a modern, standardized and integrated AOC. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree
• Must demonstrate team-oriented mindset
• Must have experience developing training materials
• Must have experience with computer-based training
• Must have a minimum of five plus (5 ) years relevant experience
• Must demonstrate flexibility with client and meet demanding deadlines
• Experience with training concepts, presentations and techniques required
• Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
• Must have experience with Air & Space Operations or similar type of command and control center operations
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and active U.S. Secret level security clearance to be selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Experience with Air Force Training is highly desirable.
• Experience with AOC military operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with training devices highly desired
• Experience with flash content & DoD systems development desired.
• Candidates local to the Newport News, VA, area are highly desirable.
