Application Developer Our client is looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic individual to gather requirements, perform analysis, develop software and test with emphasis on Production Monitoring and Reporting applications. This person will be working with other team members, to develop and support software to improve manufacturing efficiency within the company. Another key responsibility of this position will be to develop Business Process Automation and Workflow applications for our Engineering department. The core duties of this position will be to provide customer support, user education, and usage documentation for software systems used within both our Engineering department and our Production facilities. Your vision and technical experience are vitally needed to enhance our manufacturing software development efforts. This position would also include the opportunity to deploy new software or systems releases, coordinate large scale projects and train personnel to implement new processes. Requires a Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field preferred
At least 1 year of experience developing Java or other high-level object-oriented software programming language or related course work, 5 years preferred
At least 1 year of experience gathering requirements, performing analysis, and testing or related course work, 3 years preferred
At least 1 year of control system or software design including hardware and software development, implementation, and deployment, 3 years preferred
At least 1 year of customer service experience, 3 years customer service experience plus user education preferred
Requires experience designing, developing and troubleshooting data communications software and systems, 5 years preferred
At least 1 year of word processing and spreadsheet experience, 2 years preferred
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent preferred
Requires a valid driver's license and favorable motor vehicle report
Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a passport
Prefer at least 5 years experience providing technical leadership in development and implementation
Prefer at least 1 year of Lotus Notes or other database/user interface programming experience
Prefer at least 1 year of Microsoft Office experience
Prefer at least 1 year of software system documentation authoring experience
Prefer at least 1 year of statistical software and SQL database design programming experience
