TITLE: Application Specialist (Motion)
FUNCTIONAL AREA: Drives
REPORTS TO: Sales Support Team Manager
LOCATION: Fort Smith, Arkansas
REQUISITION NUMBER: DCP038
PAY CLASS: Exempt
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Provide technical information and training to outside sales (district offices and customers) relating to Baldor motion products. * Assist district offices and customers who are specifying, starting or troubleshooting Baldor motion products over the phone. * Customer visits with sales force to develop and close sales for Baldor motion products. * Work closely with engineering on custom products developments. * Other support functions to include special projects to support sales of the motion product line. * Travel is required.
EDUCATION: 2-Year degree or equivalent knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 5-years experience in Motion Control Industry. * Proficient in the following environment and tools: Visual Basic, C+, Basic, and Microsoft Office.< * Ability to program motion control systems and the associated interfacing with drives, PLC?s and HMI software. * Study in mechanical or electrical engineering. * Minimum of 2-Years experience in sales support function and/or application engineering capacity. * Need good written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
