Job Description:


Provides Tier 2 service and support for our client’s employees nationwide across a broad range of subjects, including troubleshooting and restoring business applications, technical service and/or equipment problems by analyzing, identifying, and diagnosing faults and symptoms using established policies and procedures. The core application environment is: JD Edwards, custom CRM, Hyphen, Data Warehouse/Brio, Hyperion, SalesForce CC and CRM; Microsoft 7, Office Suite and web browsers. Will work in a team setting, sharing information and assisting others with requests as needed.


 


Responsibilities: 



  • Enters ticket request data into and interacts with a ticketing tracking system (Clarity).

  • Interacts with the end user by phone and/or email to resolve the request.

  • Analyze, interpret or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances to determine root cause and assist Tier 3 for resolution and develop check lists for typical problems.

  • Recommends procedures and controls for problem prevention.

  • Ensures continued update of knowledge to enhance the quality of service.

  • Updates, develops and documents policies and procedures, working with supervisors, to continually improve the quality of service provided.

  • Assists in implementation of new systems as necessary and offers support once systems are installed. Some travel may be required on occasion.


 


Required Skills:



  • 2 - 5 years of IT work experience, preferably with some exposure to business systems.

  • 2 + years of experience with SalesForce CRM and Customer Care support.

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft applications with a general understanding of networking and applications provision.

  • Ability to work independently; make decisions on configuration and operation of network and personal computers.

  • Must be able to work with all types of people at all levels in Regions, Divisions, Corporate, and Tier 1, 2 and 3 staff.

  • Ability to effectively analyze problems, develop solutions, communicate and document as needed.

  • Ability to work in stressful environment with many interruptions.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar related field, or equivalent work experience. For application support, a degree in Accounting or related field would be advantageous.


 


Additional Information:



  • Occasional travel to remote locations, e.g. for implementations.

  • Hours of work: normal business hours Mon – Fri with requirement, by rotation, to be on call evenings and weekends
