ASP.net Web Developer
JOB TITLE: Web Developer GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Developer position will have a wide range of responsibilities including development of dealer portal applications, public websites, applications supporting our primary business systems, and working with our CMS systems. In addition, strong data skills are required to tie into our business systems to present data and analytics on the web to support our employees and customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
1. Proficient in HTML and XML
2. Proficient in JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
3. Proficient in other client side technologies such as AJAX
4. Ability to write functional and design specs for applications
5. Ability to design user friendly customer experiences
6. Understand mobile device targeting
7. Understand object-oriented programming
8. Understand web configurations in IIS
9. Ability to write WCF web services with security
10. Proficient in the latest versions of the .NET framework
11. Ability to test your application during and after completion using unit testing and other appropriate testing tools
12. Understand web application security principles
13. Understand general database design using Oracle and MSSQL
14. Understand database concepts and data retrieval
15. Understand LINQ to SQL and LINQ to other appropriate data sources
- Strong knowledge of CMS and DMS technologies
- Knowledge of Sitefinity CMS a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning and designing our main dealer portal application using Sitefinity CMS, supporting applications, and integration of additional systems
- Extract, transform, and load data from our primary enterprise databases, Oracle and MSSQL, for use in reports and applications
- Provide insight and direction with the latest technologies and general design principles for the web
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- 3+ years working with in C# or VB and MSSQL
- Excellent communication skills
