Demonstrated knowledge of computer desktop hardware and applications. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other standard business applications. Demonstrated knowledge of standard networking protocols, computing operating systems, & LAN/WAN topology. Two to four years experience in the service and operation of mixed Windows XP and Apple OS-X operating systems, desktop computing hardware, and related peripherals. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Windows Server, CISCO and/or Avaya Telco experience desirable. Duties: This professional position is responsible for the timely and professional support of a 24x7x365 news production environment. Persons eligible for this position must be familiar with the desktop, network and support infrastructure of a Windows & OS-X computing environment. Familiarity with Telcom moves, adds and changes and/or a broadcast environment is desirable. This position operates in a highly independent fashion. Candidates must be self motivated and able to operate with little supervision. Practical solutions must be found and implemented immediately in order to keep clients and on air systems working.
