Position supports the Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) for In-Service Support of Swiss F/A-18 C/D aircraft. This position assists the US government representative in all phases of the program, including participation in meetings/reviews, providing policy guidance, recommending solutions to programmatic issues, recommending procedural improvements, and facilitating coordination and communication with aircraft and equipment manufacturers. 1. Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements. 2. Develops logistics support plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. 3. Follows established DoD, FMS policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality, cost control and export compliance. 6. Participates in special projects as required.
The position requires a Bachelors degree and two years work experience in the field of defense weapons system analysis. One additional year of professional experience in field related work areas, may be substituted for one year of undergraduate education. One year above the Bachelors degree may be substituted for one year of professional work experience, to a maximum of two years.
0-2 years of related experience in military aircraft maintenance, logistics support, and/or supply chain management.
Travel within the continental United States and occasional international travel is required.
