Responsibilities:
The Associate Help Desk Specialist will provide Tier 2 Service Desk support services to multiple component agencies.
* Looking for an individual that can do multiple roles and multi task on a self prioritized manner. * Working knowledge of basic standard software such as: MS Office suites, Adobe suites, Multiple Windows platforms, etc Proficiency with VMware or virtual environments * Ability to work a flexible schedule; work overtime as business needs dictate * Working schedule is shift work, either days or nights, 3 days on 11.5 hour shifts, then 3 days off, then 4 days on 11.5 hour shifts and then 4 days off * Working schedule consists of prime time hours but may include off-prime hours such as evenings, nights and/or weekends.
Requirements:
* 1 year Service Desk experience * Previous customer service/call center/ technical support experienced preferred * Work experience with Remote desktop takeover tools, Service Desk electronic ticketing formats (Remedy Specifically); * Any experience in NOC roles would be a beneficial. * Telephone or technical support experience preferred * MCP, MCDST or MCSE certification * MCP/MCSA/MCSE or Equivalent experience * MCP in Windows 200x Server Administration (This cert covers, permissions as well as user & group management) * Security + Certification or other non-Microsoft Certification Exchange Certification or Equivalent experience * Administration Certification or Equivalent Experience * Proficiency with MS 2003 or 2007, Unix, VMware or virtual environments * Self Motivated and Goal Oriented * Demonstrates strong listening, written and spoken communication skills * Ability to successfully complete training program * Ability to use computer systems * Ability to respond to and resolve customer inquires * Ability to follow procedural guidelines to respond to and /research customer questions * Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate * Ability to do data entry, with attention to accuracy in grammar, punctuation and spelling * Comfortable with reporting security violations – even if it is their friends doing the violating. * Able to document processes in step by step detail * Able to train other personnel effectively * Able to mentor other team members * Able to research issues encountered, etc. * Able/Willingness to pick up the phone and contact a SME for assistance when necessary * Able to “comply” with all of the little details necessary to ensure audit compliance is strictly adhered to * Able to work on projects * Able to attend meetings/communicate with the higher level customer present and handle him/herself professionally and leave the customer with a good impression * Client focused; committed to quality service. * Service oriented with excellent technical communication skills in dealing with clients and all support groups. * Excellent trouble shooting skills with ability to find / deliver / document solutions * Strong team player with ability to adapt to a changing work environment
The position will require obtaining asecret clearance, completing adrug screenand an additional background check.
