Need Parsons is seeking a Associate Highway Design Engineer to perform a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard highway design techniques. The selected candidate will be a college graduate with relevant course work and internship experience. Some professional highway design experience is preferred. As an associate, you will prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs as well as requisitions for equipment and materials. In addition, you will r eview small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses. You will p repare specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents associated with highway projects. Some assignments involve CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected.
Qualifications: Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering
Relevant highway and road design coursework, a completed internship and some professional highway design experience preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate desired
Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
There is no relocation associated with this position, local candidates will be considered
