Associate Technical Support Engineer - MarkView Tracking Code U287 Job Description The Associate Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing business critical technical support to highly-skilled customer IT and functional staff, including Database Administrators, System Administrators, IT Managers and Directors, line-of-business Managers and Financial Controllers. In addition, the position requires frequent interaction with Product Development and Consulting Services, to deliver complete, comprehensive solutions and constant software and process improvement. The ideal candidate must have strong intellectual skills, the ability to function in a dynamic, fast paced and team-oriented environment, and an excellent work Associate Technical Support Analyst will: * Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues related to application use, design and configuration * Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers * Report software issues, provide in-depth analysis and proposed solutions to Product Development. * Assist Consultants with implementations and project work * Work as part of a highly-skilled, motivated and cooperative team, with both shared responsibilities and direct ownership of issues * Identify and create content for inclusion in the Online Knowledge Base * Assist with documentation reviews and quality assurance testing as needed Required Skills
Position Required Experience
* Experience and/or strong interest in technical support and/or customer service experience * Strong oral and written communication skills * Excellent issue management and problem solving skills * Demonstrated technical skills in some or all of the following areas: * RDBMS architecture * Database access tools and languages (SQL, PL/SQL, PLSQL Developer, TOAD) * Enterprise software architecture, design and development, and customization (Oracle Financials, SAP) * Java - including Java Developer Toolkit (JDK), Java Runtime Engine (JRE) and J2EE compliant applications * Web based languages such as HTML, Perl, Cold Fusion and others * ERP Solutions and Financial Applications such as Oracle, PeopleSoft or SAP * BS or BA in Computer Science or related field * Candidate must be willing to work on-call and carry a pager on a rotating basis.
