Job Description/Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the National RAN Competitive Drive Test program with a team of Engineers who are responsible for managing the Benchmarking program. This involves coordinating multiple drive tests multiple times each year, maintaining drive schedules and report delivery, and acting as a liaison between the markets and the drive test vendor to troubleshoot problems. Responsibilities also include analysis of drive test results to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the program, and close alignment with marketing for advertising claims/campaigns. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the relationship with the independent vendor, reviewing contracts, and owning an annual budget of approximately $40M. The manager will be expected to use sound judgment in a fast paced, ever changing environment to sustain the program and to ensure the collected data is accurate and informative to market engineers.

Manages exempt RF Engineers and professional employees in multiple complex RF, transmission and implementation areas. Responsible for a variety of activities for a specialized or large-scale area within RF Engineering. Requires strong knowledge of specialty area or broad knowledge of the organization and operation. Works closely with managers and project team members to assess/meet department goals. Plans and organizes work projects, budgets and resources. Assists directors and executive management with implementation, development of strategies, guidelines. Remains current with industry trends / technologies. Monitors and is responsible for budgets for area of responsibility. Ensures compliance with government regulations and system specifications.

Preferred location(s) for this position would be King of Prussia, PA, Atlanta,GA, Dallas, TX and Pleasanton, CA, alternate locations might be considered. BS or MS degree in electrical engineering discipline or equivalent required. Five years of experience in wireless industry with at least two years of management experience. Complete understanding of wireless network design, performance and optimization for GSM, UMTS, CDMA, and LTE technologies for voice and data. Excellent speech communication and technical writing skills. Proven ability to manage vendor and internal relationships. Solid understanding of Wireless technologies both present and emerging. Strong ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple competing priorities. Proven ability to identify and manage routine and complex problems, and to work well in a technical, fast paced and challenging environment. Must have experience and understanding of benchmarking drive test equipment and measurements.
