AT&T Principal-Technical Architect
SUMMARY This position is a highly technical leadership position with responsibility for leading small teams in new and immerging technologies and application of existing technologies to new areas of use. Work direction is based on input received from AT&T leadership and the AT&T IT Innovation Board. The work activities are experimental in nature and intended to provide as much information as possible. Work direction changes as learning increases and the outcome of experiments is typically uncertain. In some cases activities will be completed through delivery of a product for use within AT&T. The position also includes ongoing product support and enhancements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a constantly changing environment, have excellent communication and presentation skills, experience as a mentor and an unquenchable desire to learn.

•Understand and work with project management, change management, operations management and financial analysis are integral parts of most assignments
•Lead architectural engagements in promoting the cause of technology, and of specific technologies, in order to achieve buy-in from the enterprise's management and IT communities, seeking to create new opportunities and business relationships
•Develop business cases to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of proceeding with proposed or demonstrated innovative solutions.
Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS: 5 years of experience in technical leadership and mentoring
Strong development experience in Java, J2EE, Eclipse
o Required: 5 years of experience
Messaging - Strong knowledge of using JMS based messaging - with WebSphere MQ, SonicMQ, TIBCO or other messaging broker technologies
o Required: 3 years of experience using these message technologies, using Request/Reply and Asynchronous messaging and Quality of Service
Strong knowledge of using XML/webservice based technologies - must have created schema definition (XSD), WSDL, SOAP, ReST
o Must have the ability to create XSD and WSDL from scratch, without use of client/server side tooling
o Required: 5 years of experience using XSD, WSDL
Strong knowledge and concepts of XML binding languages - Castor, JAXB, XMLBeans or other such XML binding languages
o Required: 3 years of experience

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: Java/JEE Certification
Strong knowledge of database oriented technologies (SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexes)
o Object Relational Mapping - Hibernate, TOPLink, JPA or related technologies
o Object/Data Cacheing solutions - Tangosol, Oracle-Coherence, IBM-ExtremeScale, JCache, ActiveSpaces, Cassandra or related technologies
Hands on experience in Solutions for Availability
o Experience working with software or hardware load balancing solutions, clustering, or related load balancer technologies
o Experience with High Availability for Data Replication - such as Oracle DataGuard, GoldenGate, Oracle Streams or related data replication technologies
Hands on experience using Development platforms
o Experience with Eclipse, JDeveloper, JBuilder, NetBeans, IBM-RAD or related technologies
o Experience with Unit Test Framework (such as JUnit)
o Experience with Profiler Framework (such as JProfiler)
o Experience with source code controls (like SVN, CVS) and scripted build languages - Maven, Ant
Hands on experience using User Interface Skillsets
o Experience with Flex, AJAX, Portal, DOJO and related UI technologies
Hands on experience using OS Scripting Languages
o Experience with Unix Shell Scripts, Perl, PHP, Jython, Python or related technologies
