Candidate is expected to be lead in identifying and addressing recurrent network performance issues. Lead in the analysis of various data sources within the performance triage process to identify and drive the root cause of customer impacting issues out of the network. Assist market engineers to properly troubleshoot and classify their sites for the rapid recognition/rapid restoral effort. Identify recurring failures impacting site performance and work with appropriate teams to drive these failures out of the network. Work with appropriate organizations to put in place processes and procedures that improve MTTR (mean time to repair) and MTBF (mean time between failures). Assist in monitoring network performance metrics and developing action plans to address performance issues. Provide BAU support for performance tools as well as assess new tool needs and work to design, integrate and deploy these new tools. Interface with many internal groups to accomplish goals. - Highly advanced senior lead individual contributor engineer with strong technical and leadership skills. - Proven Leadership skills, experience on leading teams or projects, skills on motivating individuals to deliver excellence. - Experience on analyzing performance in 2G, 3G and 4G networks, voice and data, RAN and Core network. - Innovation and development is often required when using new data sources and tools. - The selected candidate is able to study trends, identify common issues across markets and work with the relevant teams to resolve. - Highly capable of written and verbal presentations of complex technical issues
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in Engineering, Math or Sciences
5-8 years of progressive successful development as an engineer.
Strong knowledge of and the ability to solve complex issues in the areas of:
RF engineering principles (RF communications theory, design principles, network optimization, propagation modeling and prediction, etc.) and vendor capability assessment,
Network architecture (3GPP Air interface, standards, technology and evolution, etc.),
Vendor capability assessment
Wireless engineering principles (cell site/tower design, attributes and specifications, and RAN design, spectrum/frequency planning, etc.),
Performance Management (System KPIs and metrics, etc.), and
Software (Parameter definition, etc).
Tools and Software (AIM, RF propagation, modeling, and planning tools, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math or Sciences
