Overall Purpose: Responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, and defining solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. As an SAP Application Engineer - ABAP, you will have the following duties and responsibilities: Design, develop/customize and implement SAP business applications and solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Requirements analysis
• Business process design/modeling
• Design business applications
• Develop/customize Web based applications
• Develop/customize R/3 based applications
• Develop/customize R/3 New Dimension Products based applications
• Systems maintenance
• Interact and work with members of the IT support staff
• System implementation
• Post production support for system customizations and configuration
• Maintain a high degree of knowledge and understanding of SAP technologies, business processes and solutions, keeping current with new technologies, SAP Product release levels and industry issues
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills along with good task management skills.
• Work with little direct supervision.
The preferred locations for this position are Atlanta, GA or Wayne, PA. May consider applicants who reside (and will remain) in locations other than those listed.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications - 7-10 years experience implementing or supporting SAP ABAP
- Expert level skills in ABAP
- 5-8 years related technical architect level experience.
- Additional experience in one or more of the following is a big plus: BI/BW, BOBJ, XI/PI, Enterprise Portal, EDI
- Working knowledge of one or more SAP Products (SCM, ERP, CRM, etc) to effectively work with end users to design and troubleshoot customizations
- Experience developing and customizing R/3 based applications
Desired Qualifications - Experience in building multiple versions of large customer facing systems addressing performance and scale.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer and/or Business Administration (Finance, Accounting, etc.) - [Combination of Business and Technical Education]
