Microsoft’s North Central District is currently searching for an Enterprise Sales Manager to lead our Enterprise Account Team Unit (ATU) located in Des Moines & Omaha, NE.
Primary responsibilities include leading a team of nine enterprise sales and pre-sales technology professionals covering our account base in Nebraska and Iowa, exceeding annual revenue quota, sustaining a healthy sales pipeline, developing business plans, managing expense plans, collaborating with channel partners, driving new marketing programs across a named set of customers within the geography and evaluating sales campaign results.
In addition, execution excellence in addressing complex I.T. architecture sales, competitive threats, customer "inertia," and exercising exceptional judgment in making resource decisions is a must. Developing and implementing world class customer satisfaction management practices, and ensuring that the ATU understands and is focused on the customer’s key business and IT objectives is also critical.
Requirements include a proven sales and sales management track record in the Enterprise Sector including: extensive direct contact with enterprise customers at an executive level, developing / implementing successful sales plans, understanding the customer’s computing environment, qualifying business opportunities, exhibiting strong negotiating skills, executing broad based demand generation activities, managing sales territories, training, coaching and motivating a local and virtual sales team. Particular expertise in selling in the Fortune 1000 customer base (solutions, servers, connectivity, messaging) and integrating the appropriate resources to win the business is desired. Understanding the key industries in the ATU, along with general experience managing distribution channels, VAR's, consultants, user groups and general community leadership is important.
This position reports to the Sales Director of the North Central District. Minimum qualifications include seven years of demonstrated business to business territory sales experience in the large account environment and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated management of a direct sales and/or technical sales professionals.
A B.A. or B.S. degree in marketing, business or equivalent experience preferred, and an MBA is a plus. Travel to accounts with in the states of Nebraska and Iowa, as well as regular travel to Minneapolis and Redmond, Washington will occupy a minimum of 40% of your schedule.
