Job Description

Under direction of Internal Audit management, this position works as an audit team member responsible for the timely execution of financial reporting control test work and risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan. The position will apply a systematic methodology for analyzing business processes, procedures, and activities with the goal of assessing risks. The scope of internal auditing may include any function or activity within Intermountain Healthcare, Inc. and its affiliates, and may address efficacy of operations, reliability of information reporting, compliance with laws and regulations, deterrence and investigation of fraud, and safeguarding assets.

 

Job Essentials:

  • Completes Financial Reporting Control documentation and test work
  • Assists in the performance of and/or performs risk-based audit assignments
  • Performs follow-up test work to confirm the completion of management action plans developed in response to audits
  • Provides risk assessment input
  • Performs peer quality review assessments
  • Provides, as necessary, mentoring and committee involvement

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; Intermountain verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail applications
  • Three or more years of audit experience in a public accounting, internal audit, data analysis, or consulting and/or healthcare experience
  • Experience in planning work assignments and managing time effectively, with a minimum of supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Manual Dexterity, Speaking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degrees in business, clinical, or information systems
  • Professional licensing (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Registered Nurse (RN))
