The B2B Solutions Analyst reports to the Vice President, Operations and Supply Chain and is primarily responsiblefor leading projects to facilitate data flow between customers’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Verical’s applications. They will be the primary technical contact with customers for setting up and maintaining these integration points. To that end, they will also be responsible for mapping customers’ data models to Verical’s. The B2B solutions analyst is also responsible for advising the Verical development team on matters related to B2B systems integration as well as administering the integration components of the Verical system, from a customer and technical perspective.
The B2B Solutions Analyst has responsibilities across the following functions: · Inventory data capture · Inventory data cleansing & enrichment · Demand data capture · Integration with third parties · Reporting
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Hand-hold customers through the process of integrating their systems to Verical’s through a variety of mechanisms · Define mapping of customers’ data models to Verical’s · Serve as a technical point of contact for customers · Administer integration systems · Advise the development team on B2B system integration issues · Work with business and IT teams to provide strategic and tactical support in designing and deploying B2B capabilities to meet Verical’s business process integration needs. · Actively engage with internal teams and possibly trading partners to analyze business and IT requirements. Participate in the solution planning, design, and implementation in order to deliver measurable results to Verical and its partners · Share and acquire knowledge and best practices amongst Industry consortia members to ensure the B2B standards can be successfully adopted within Verical and its partners · Conduct B2B message gap analyses to drive conformance with Industry B2B standards · Manage the order fulfillment process to ensure the highest levels of performance, both for customers and for Verical, particularly in the areas of cost reduction, on-time delivery, availability, lead-time and customer satisfaction · Identify exceptions to standard processes and take corrective actions to minimize the impact to the customer and to Verical · Research and resolve issues, identify root causes and take corrective actions to prevent the issues from arising in the future · Collaborate with other team members on day to day operations and special projects alike · Participate in continuous improvement activities with the rest of the Verical team · Participate in the development and documentation of policies, procedures and processes and the development and maintenance of the business manual · Flexibility to perform other activities and functions as required in a fast growing dynamic environment · Assist with the development of operational metrics and provide reports and statistics on operational performance and activities
Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience · 3+ yrs as a Business and/or IT Analyst · 2+ yrs of project management experience · Thorough experience with B2B system integration technologies, including: EDI, EDIFACT, XML, RosettaNet · Experience working with VANs · Knowledge of supply chain & materials management processes · Knowledge and experience with electronics parts / bill of materials a plus · Hands on experience in database, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripts a plus · Proven ability and extensive experience gathering, understanding and documenting business needs and translating them into business requirements, functional specifications and use cases · Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; expert at managing multiple projects simultaneously · Self-starter with demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet personal and department goals and to manage day-to-day activities effectively · Highly effective team player
Preferred Qualifications: · Highly skilled in the use of Informatica · Working knowledge of mainframe and modern IT systems · Expert skills with Microsoft Excel and Access
