The BI Developer/Analyst is responsible for the integrity and quality of data moved from source systems to downstream Business Intelligence systems. The Developer/Analyst will be the primary point of contact for any data quality issues within the Business Intelligence application layer. The Developer/Analyst works with multiple IT and business teams to identify data requirements and data sources for BI applications. The Developer/Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the approved BI metrics. You will assist in the development of new BI applications by identifying appropriate source data for BI databases and applications. Also, you will conduct QA during data conversion exercises and is responsible for QA for any Data Warehouse data feeds. You will also create source to target mapping instructions that ETL team will leverage for development. Create prototype data load jobs to model data movement requirements for ETL team. Validate data between source system (Point of Sale systems, Lawson, etc) and Business Intelligence applications (Dashboards, Cubes, Reports, etc) investigate data issues and provide resolution proposals to Business Intelligence teams. You will create ad hoc and systematic solutions for customer needs including SQL queries and reports. Verify that new report requests are viable and that requests are not duplicates of existing, business-approved reports. Work with management to validate new report requests and obtain approval for new report development.
