Big Data Analytics, Sr. Relationship Manager
The Senior Relationship Manager, Web Analytics will be responsible for collaborating with business teams across PayPal to define strategic and cost effective initiatives focused on "big data" web tracking and conversion analytics. The ideal candidate will have spent significant time around web analytics and analytics infrastructures and will have a strong understanding of how businesses leverage these capabilities to gain deep insight into customer behavior. This position requires an individual with strong business acumen and a track record for developing solid proposals for world-class IT solutions by collaborating with business executives and key people within their departments. As such, the ideal candidate will possess a unique mixture of strong technical understanding as well as strong business and communication skills.
In this role you will:
Partner with business teams to translate business strategy and objectives into world-class data solutions proposals.
Set the vision and roadmap for "big data" infrastructure and data warehousing solutions to meet the business objectives.
Work with architecture and planning teams within Data Management to gain input and estimates for solutions proposals.
Continually enrich your knowledge of industry advancements in web analytics in order to propose world-class solutions.
Build cost models and feasibility analyses using input from others within Data Management.
Demonstrate thought leadership in data management.
Job Requirements:
7-10 years of experience with large-scale data processing, analytics, and business intelligence
Excellent architecture experience with RDBMS technologies [Oracle, PostGres or MySQL (preferred)]
Experience with NoSQL databases (Hadoop, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB) and MapReduce
2 years of experience with Big Data Analytics using Hadoop and Map Reduce technologies
Extensive experience in data warehouses, analytics (extra points for predictive analytics), data integration and semantic search [extra points again]
