Bilingual Technical Support Specialist - Woodbridge, Ontario

Working in a call center environment, Technical Support Specialists provide technical phone support to Honeywell dealers that install and service Honeywell Alarmnet and Vista product lines. Primary technical support responsibilities include assisting in basic design, supporting the correct installation and programming parameters of our equipment in/for security and life safety location, and provide training when necessary.
Technical Support Specialists will receive substantial training during the first 8 to 12 months. A successful Technical Support Specialist has excellent communication skills, ability to navigate basic computer programs, and have a good understanding of basic electronics.
Basic Qualifications * Must understand basic electronics, ohm's law and being able to assist one in the use of a multimeter. * Minimum of a 2 year Technical Degree OR 1 year of technical field experience, with a High School diploma or equivalent. * Must speak fluent French and English. Minimum of intermediate reading and writing in French and English * Able to travel to the US on occasion for Technical Training (valid passport)
Additional Qualifications * Previous Call Center experience * Requires the availability to work extended shift on US Holidays * Able to trouble shoot basic networks, software applications and electrical low voltage products like radios, IP cameras, security panel etc. * Able to operate/navigate a PC operating system including applications like IE7, Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007.
