We see a Business Analyst/Consultant to work remotely. The Business Analyst/Consultant is responsible for determining business requirements, writing business specifications, configuring maintenance settings and system tables, data mapping and interacting with clients and software developers to determine requirements. Define and implement product functionality. This may require the business analyst/consultant to travel to client sites. The analyst/consultant must interact with clients via phone, email and/or compass to gather information on issue(s) being reported in order to bring issues to resolution quickly and efficiently. When working on an implementation project the analyst/consultant will be responsible for system set up; testing; functional training; and signoff. Must be able to effectively communicate to build strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service to all OSI clients as well as internal clients. In this role, you will: * Consult and provide recommendations as needed * Configure product tables and settings based on client requirements * Assess each client's portfolio to assist the client in creating detailed products in the Open Solutions system assuring same or similar functionality of client's prior system * Support various Lending processes including but not limited to forms mapping; troubleshooting ; interface set up; training ; reports creation. * Performs data mapping analysis and technical mapping using tools such as but not limited to JetForm and Crystal Reports. * Be responsible for pre-conversion remote and on-site client assistance to ensure data integrity, which may include third party interfaces, * Have direct responsibility for planning, analysis, troubleshooting and reinforcing client testing and training * Diagnose and recommend solutions to issues * Perform functional, integration and regression testing on forms, reports and interfaces * Be responsible for assisting client in writing business specs for custom processes * Be responsible for assisting client in testing any applicable custom code. * Stays current with new product development and functionality. Reviews release notes and technical documentation to maintain product knowledge * Interact with development relative to system defects and enhancements * Support implementations projects * Meet with clients to review cases and provide direction. Required Skills
To qualify for this position, you must have: * The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions. * The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Associates degree from a college or university ; two years related experience and or training * At least four years of customer applications support experience * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, as well as the ability to keep sensitive information confidential * Strong research and problem-solving skills * Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and SQL. Windows NT, 2000 and XP experience helpful * Must be able to travel
