Title: Business Analyst Consultant Location: TX-Austin Ensures inventory accuracy and identify inconsistencies for the protection of Dells inventory assets. * Interacts with vendors to manage inventory of parts and supplies. * Establishes, monitors, and improves processes for controlling and accurately reporting inventory. * Provides weekly communication updating the respective LOB on the performance of the commodities, trends, and financial analysis. * Performs trend Analysis on inventory management, communicates and drives resolution to any issues affecting inventory performance. * Provide proactive communication for material issues to management and customers. * Ensures material planning supports financially accurate inventory reporting. * Ability to model inventory control practices. * Ability to facilitate and implement material and operational procedures related to inventory controls. * Works under minimal direction in completing business objectives. * Leads larger projects to optimize and standardize an Inventory management process and drive for consistency across D/S LOB teams. * Self directed. * Responsible for reconciling the most complex commodities. * Expected to provide guidance to other team members. * Expected to act as a mentor to other analyst. * Interacts and manages the relationships with various third party vendors for most complex commodities * Presents data trends, findings, and recommendations to senior level management. * Work on initiatives at a DAO or Global scope * Determines process requirements/strategy to complex issues. * Determine a hedge strategy based on inventory management trends, global trend analysis and industry standards. * Review new product roadmaps and provide supportability information and alternate recommendations. * Recommend appropriate inventory record accuracy targets. * Regularly coaches/mentors less experienced team members. - Extensive Finance experience. - Expert vendor management skills. - Expert ability to interact with senior management. - Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures. - Expert ability to manage process improvements. - Demonstrated ability to lead teams. - Expert vendor management skills. - Advanced verbal and written communication skills. - Advanced organizational and project planning skills. - Advanced analytical skills. - Advanced financial acumen skills. - Advanced negotiating skills. - 4-5 years experience. - College degree prefered
