Title: Business Analyst Consultant Location: TX-Austin The individual hired will join the SMB DFS Business Automation and Technology Delivery Team as the lead Business Analyst (BA). As Dell continues to focus on implementation of global sales and customer facing platforms, this BA will play a key part in defining the business needs and core technology solutions. While there are no direct people management responsibilities, this position will help mentor less experienced analysts and will be called upon to help manage other critical cross-functional initiatives. Expected to develop key relationships with business leaders and develop anadvanced understanding of Dell's business processes and systems customers/business partners will be DFS Marketing & Sales, DFS Risk, Dell Sales Operations and Dell IT. * Ideal candidate will have experience leading medium-large scale platform implementations for a Fortune 50 company. Experience working in financial services payment solutions with focus on private label and/or leasing platforms. * 6-8 years of business system analysis and requirements definition preferably in the areas of business technology and platform design. Solicits, develops, documents and manages business requirements throughout project and/or product life cycle up to and through change control. * Minimum 6 years experience doing process design and analysis, brainstorming, and technical solution sizing. * Minimum 6 years experience in using core BA tools such Visio, Excel and MS Project * Works with business leads to define and analyze problems and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment and domain functions * Experience in defining requirements under different software development frameworks such as MSF, Agile preferred. * Identifies process improvement needs and trends their potential impact * Experience with direct people management is preferred Core Competencies Needed: * Problem Solving and Business Systems Analysis skills as core strength * Drive for Results and Deadline Management * Presentation and Meeting Facilitation Experience * Negotiating and Influencing * Business Acumen About Dell Inc.
